Sue Ann Bowling

With great sadness we have heard of the passing of Dr. Sue Ann Bowling  after a long battle with cancer on 25 November 2014. Dr. Bowling was a retired professor and was the first female student in Atmospheric Science of the Geophysical Institute, making her degree under Professor Carl Benson. She was also the first director of the Alaska Climate Research Center, Geophysical Institute, which was founded by the State of Alaska. A celebration of life is planned for early next spring.
