Lead scientist for the Alaska Climate Research Center. The ACRC studies climate and climate change in Alaska and the Arctic Region.
In the fields of Polar Research: climatology, meteorology, radiation, micro-meteorology, hydrology, satellite meteorology, glacio-meteorology. Over a hundred fifty papers were authored or co-authored in these areas. They were published in English, German, and French.
