Anchorage was cooler than normal, with an average temperature of 55.5°F, 3.3°F below the expected temperature. The maximum temperature (73°F) occurred on the 18th, while the minimum temperature (45°F) occurred on three days: the 6th, 9th, and 10th. July's temperatures were typically cooler than the expected trend for the month.
Precipitation was slightly higher than normal, 2.14", or 17% above normal. The average wind speed was 6.8 mph, while the strongest gust of 40 mph was observed on the 20th, blowing from a southeasterly direction.
The average temperature inJuneau was 54.9°F, 2.0°F below the long term mean. The maximum temperature of the month was 76°F, occurring on the 26th, while a cool 38°F occurred on the 12th, and was the minimum temperature reported this month, breaking the previous record for this day (40°F) set back in 1946. Temperatures started cool at the beginning of the month, but warmer temperatures occurred at the end of the month.
Precipitation was 5.37", 0.77" higher than the expected amount. On the 9thof July, 1.64" of rain fell, breaking the previous record for that day (0.96") set in 1984. The average wind speed was 4.8 mph, and the maximum wind speed of 28 mph occurred on the 12th, from a southeastern direction.

Barrow was the one station fist order station that was warmer than normal, having a mean temperature of 44.0°F, 3.1°F above the normal value of 40.9°F. The highest temperature (67°F) occurred on the 23rd, while the coolest temperature (29°F) was reported on three separate days, the 18th, 19th, and 21st. Aside from the small dip in temperatures during this time frame, from the 11thto the 31st, temperatures tended to be above the expected trend.
Precipitation in Barrow (0.54") was slightly more than half the normal value of 0.98", while the snowfall in Barrow matched the normal value of 0.2". The average wind speed was 9.9 mph, while the maximum gust (32 mph) occurred on the 4th, blowing from an easterly direction.
Nome had a mean temperature of 51.1°F, 1.1°F below the normal value of 52.2°F. The minimum temperature for the month was a chilly 33.0°F, observed on the 1st. However, just a week later, on the 8th, the maximum temperature was reported at 75°F.
Nearly three times the normal amount of precipitation was observed in Nome. A total of 6.27" of rain fell. This is 4.16" over the normal amount of 2.11". Helping this high total were two record events. On the 25th, 1.38" fell, 0.03" more than the previous record set in way back in 1922. Then on the 28th, 1.13" of rain fell, breaking the previous record for that day of 0.87", set 101 years ago in 1911. The average monthly wind speed was 9.5 mph, while the max wind speed was 32 mph, occurring on the 24th and 25thof the month, blowing on the from a southerly and southeasterly direction, respectively.
InKing Salmon the average temperature was 52.3°F, 2.2°F below the long term mean. The maximum temperature (73°F) for the month was reported on the 18th, while the minimum temperature of 40°F occurred on two separate days the 6thand the 25th.
King Salmon had a slightly above normal amount of precipitation with a total of 4.77", 2.47" over the long-term mean. The 4thsaw a new precipitation record of 0.59" set, topping the 1956 record of 0.31". Then again on the 9tha new record of 0.71" fell, breaking the 1994 total of 0.63". The average wind speed was 8.2 mph, and the highest gust of 43 mph occurred on the 28thfrom a southerly direction.
Kodiak was cooler than normal, having a mean temperature of 52.0°F, 2.5°F less than the expected mean of 54.5°F. The maximum temperature for the month (66°F) was observed on the 27th, and the minimum temperature was 40°F, reported on the 4th. The low temperature of 43.0°F on the 25thtied the minimum temperature for that day, a record set previously in 2000.
Precipitation was 18% less than normal, with a total of 4.05" compared to the normal amount of 4.93". The average wind was 6.7 mph, while the highest wind gust occurred on the 10that 37 mph, blowing from an easterly direction.
InBig Delta the mean June temperature was 57.9°F, just above the long-term mean of 57.6. The highest monthly temperature of 83°F was observed on the 23rd, while the minimum temperature (41°F) occurred on the 1st. The temperatures were mixed throughout the month with respect to the expected trend for June. No new daily records were observed.
Precipitation in June was reported at 2.06", 11% below the expected amount of 2.31".
Anchorage recorded an average temperature in June of 54.3°F, 0.9°F below the normal of 55.2°F. The maximum temperature of the month occurred on the 22ndwith 75°F, while a minimum temperature of 40°F was observed on the 4thand 5thof June. For the whole month the temperature followed the expected trend fairly closely, with the exception of warmer temperatures around the 20th.
