The mean monthly temperature for November in Fairbanks was 6.5°F above normal, with 9.1°F observed and 2.6°F expected. The highest temperature for the month was 35°F. The lowest temperature was ‑27°F occurring on the 18th and 19th.

Precipitation was above normal, with 1.78" measured and 0.67" normally expected. Contributing to this was the 0.22" that fell on the 2nd, which set a new daily record for that day, breaking the old 1935 record. Snowfall was quite heavy at 192% of normal, with 25.4" measured. On the 2nd, 2.8" of snow fell, breaking the old record for that day of 2.5" set in 1935. Fairbanks had an average wind speed of 2.4 mph, while the highest wind speed was 24 mph, from a southwesterly direction on the 21st.

Anchorage November 2015

Anchorage had a mean monthly temperature for November at 23.8°F, 1.6°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 45°F occurring on both the 24th and 25th, both days tied the previous record for each day from 2002 and 1956, respectively. While the lowest temperature was ‑8°F on the 18th, and this also tied the previously record for the 18th set in 1974.

Precipitation was above normal with 1.69" measured and 1.16" expected. Snowfall was near normal with 13.8" recorded and 13.1" normally expected. The average wind speed was 5.9 mph while the highest wind speed was 44 mph on the 25th from a southeasterly direction.

Barrow November 2015

Barrow was warmer than normal this November, with a mean monthly temperature of 2.9°F, 2.2°F above the normal 0.7°F. The highest temperature for the month was 25°F on both the 3rd and the 4th, while the lowest was -27°F on the 19th.

Precipitation was 0.26", 0.21" above normal, while snowfall was 65% of normal, with 3.7" measured and 5.7" expected. The highest wind speed was 41 mph on the 8th from an easterly direction, while the average wind speed was 13.3 mph.

Delta Junction November 2015

November's mean monthly temperature for Delta Junction was 11.8°F, 5.6°F above the normal 6.2°F. The lowest temperature for the month was -26°F on the 18th, while the highest temperature of 41°F occurred on both the 25th and 28th.

Precipitation was below normal, with 0.36" measured, just 0.27" less than normal. Despite this, a new daily record was set on the 9th, with 0.15" measured, breaking the old 1987 record for that day by 0.06".

Juneau November 2015

Juneau's mean monthly temperature for November was 36.1°F, 2.7°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 48°F on the 21st; this tied the record high set in 2005. The lowest was 20°F, set just two days later on the 23rd.

Precipitation was double the expected amount, with 12.02" measured and 5.99" expected. This is the wettest November on record for King Salmon, breaking the 2003 record of 3.89" by 0.95". Snowfall was just 127% of the normal 13.1", with 16.6" recorded. On the 18th 10.0" of snow was recorded breaking the old daily record for that of 9.4" day set in 1966. The average wind speed was 9.9 mph, while the highest wind speed was 51 mph on the 12th from a southeasterly direction.

Ketchikan November 2015

Ketchikan had a mean monthly temperature of 39.8°F, 1.4°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 52°F on the 6th, while the lowest was 24°F on the 26th.

Precipitation was slightly less than normal, with 15.98" measured and 16.63" expected. Despite the less than normal total precipitation, on the 10th 2.11" of rainfall was measured, breaking the record for that day of 1.80" set in 1934.

King Salmon November 2015

November's mean monthly temperature for King Salmon was 30.3°F, a whopping 7.4°F above the normal of 22.9°F. The highest temperature for the month was 50°F on the 5th, while the lowest was -6°F on the 16th and 17th

Precipitation was much heavier than normal, with 4.84" measured and 1.39" expected. Two new daily precipitation records were set: on the 19th 0.57" was measured breaking the 1957 record for that day of 0.45". Then on the 24th 1.37" were measured, breaking the old 1929 record of 0.30". Snow was 184% of the expected 6.9" and two new daily records were set: on the 9th 3.4" of snow was measured breaking the old 2005 record by 0.3", and then on the 24th 3.4" were recorded, breaking the 2004 record of 2.0" for that day. The average wind speed was 10.3 mph, while the highest wind speed was 57 mph on the 19th from a southeasterly direction.

Kodiak November 2015

Kodiak's mean monthly temperature for November was 36.3°F, 2.4°F above the 33.9°F expected. The highest temperature for the month was 48°F occurring on three separate days: 1st, 5th, and 20th. The 48°F on the 20th tied the record from 2003. The lowest was 19°F on the 16th. 

Precipitation was near normal, with 6.93" measured 6.87" expected, while snowfall was a mere 16% of normal, with 1.0" measured while 6.4" is normally expected. The highest wind speed was 61 mph from a westerly direction on the 21st, while the average wind speed was 11.1 mph.

Nome November 2015

Nome had a November mean monthly temperature of 21.5°F, 4.6°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 40°F on the 2nd, while the lowest was -7°F on the 17th.

Precipitation was only 0.73" above normal, with 1.95" measured and 1.22" expected. The precipitation equivalent of 0.92" that fell on the 8th broke the old record for that day of 0.42" set in 2000. Snowfall was 129% of normal, with 15.6" recorded, 3.5" above the normal 12.1". Nome's average wind speed was 12.2 mph, while the highest wind speed was 51 mph blowing from a southwesterly direction on the 9th.
